I. Introduction.

A prideful man is known by his actions.
Certain behaviors that mark him or her.
An arrogant, a humble man, a merciful man, a giving man, these are easily recognized.
There are marks that accompany them through life and make clear to the world, just who we are.
And so tonight, I thought to highlight for your consideration: “The Marks of a Christian.”

Worship

What does a 21 Century Jesus Worshipper look like?
How is she different from everybody else?
I’m thinking more woman at the well and less Pharisee tithing spices.
Before ever you gain the anointing to sing, to teach or to preach, the first anointing, my first anointing as a Christian is the anointing to worship!
Brothers and Sisters, we are anointed to worship our God!
For just a little while, we pray and intercede and give thanks as we live our natural lives within these constricting limitations.
But for eternity, there will be no need to pray! Supplication, intercession.
Following this brief time on earth, Age without end, our role will be worship!
What is the first mark of a Christian?
I would have to say worship!
To be a true worshipper, it means that you love no other gods.
Christ must be first in your life—Matt. 6:33 “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”
It means that He comes first in your plans, life, desires, and love.
And the true worshipper knows at his very core that Christ must be sought
We spend our lives searching after Him! Listening to His heart from the pages of His Word.
Incumbent on us is the seeking of our savior!
Prov. 3:5–6 “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; And lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, And he shall direct thy paths.”
We seek God for guidance, wisdom and understanding.
And so we should!
Christians should not make big life changing decisions without asking Him first!
Are you a Christian?
We’ll know soon enough, by watching who you worship.
C. Christ must be supreme—Matt. 22:37–39 (He must be king, lord, master) All things are changed when we love Him. Not just lip service, but with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength
Obedience
Love
Cleanliness
Truthfulness
Honesty
Contentment.
